Despite the increasing prevention and recyclability of industrial and domestic waste, the thermal waste treatment is an important step to reduce hazardous substances in the future. In case of optimal engineering the thermal waste treatment is important for the use of energy, too.
In the course of “Technical Systems for Thermal Waste Treatment” the most common firing systems for thermal waste treatment are presented using the example of industry facilities. This includes the fundamental technologies such as grate furnace, rotary kiln and fluidized bed furnace. The lecture also discusses the basics of combustion, the technologies for flue gas treatment (flue gas cleaning systems) and observation of emission limits, refractory engineering, process calculation based on balances and efficiencies as well as legal aspects of thermal waste treatment.
Additionally excursions are offered.

Vortragssprache: Englisch
